Isle of Wight- our doggy holiday and PPP

Last Tuesday Riley and I left England on our camping trip to the Isle of Wight. This was Riley first camping trip and she really enjoyed herself.

Over the course of 5 days Riley did many things on this dog friendly island.

I will try to fit one holiday into a post.

Up deck.
We took the car ferry (free for dogs) over to the Island.

When we arrived at the dog friendly campsite (beaper farm) Riley spotted another dog and was straight over there. They were camping buddies for a whole day, roaming around the field until Milo left the next day.

Our tent.

On our trip to the west coast of the Island.

Riley enjoying her doggy dinner on the site.

There were lots of these.

Sandy dog.

We did lots of walks and stopped at some of the dog friendly café’s…
where they even had snacks for Riley!

Looking at the coloured sand at Alum Bay.

Visiting relatives.
And on the last day when we went to the beach…
Riley swam in the sea.
This was her first time swimming and I am proud of her.

This is our contribution to the PPP which we co host alongside My Dog Diaries and our hosts at Earls world.

  1. This is delightful! My parents had the most wonderful miniature schnauzer many years ago. We miss Eboney still. I wish I'd found you during the A to Z Challenge.

On that note, I'd like to invite you on another sort of blog hop, the Liebster Award, for which I've nominated you. You can find the information here: but if it's too much of a time commitment, please don't feel obligated. I can “tag” someone else on this if you wish it.

    Best wishes!

  2. Whoa!! Looks like such an awesome time was had!! So glad you are back in time for the PPP, as well!!! Hehe. Thanks for sharing your amazing, fun holiday with us.
