We have been redecorating and changing the address and site of the blog for a while and it has kept switching around.

Now we would like to make the announcement of our new blogs address which we hope to keep.
So please head over to https://mymuttriley.wordpress.com/ and enjoy our new site. We’d love to hear what you think of it!

Brand New Blog!

Summer is here and so is our brand new blog!

I hope it has been worth the wait (although we have tried to post a little bit on our old blog http://mymuttriley.blogspot.co.uk/) and you will enjoy hearing about all things doggy and paw shaped here!

We plan to post recipes, DIY’s, tricks, tips, interviews and most of all our little adventures!

We’d love to hear if you like the blog and any dog or blog thoughts or queries.

We hope you will come back to check the posts now and then but you can also keep up-to-date using google plus and following us by email too!

Many of you who watch it will know that the baking program The Great British Bake Off  will be returning to our screens this August (see their website http://thegreatbritishbakeoff.co.uk/).

Whilst this fun baking contest is going on I have decided to try and test some doggy bakes to share with you on the blog! I will try and do ones that are easy to make with not a lot of ingredients.

Riley loves homemade treats!
Also I would love any suggestions of recipes: ones that you make your dogs regularly or ones you have heard of and want to know how so please comment at the end of the post!!!
Plus look out for polls that I will put up asking about your dogs favourite treat and tit-bit.
If you have read my previous post then you will know that I’ve been encouraging Riley to play tuggie in preparation for our first competitions this Winter.
Riley has made great progress and will now play on the green near the road! A big thank you to all who gave me tips especially those at http://earlsworlddogblog.blogspot.co.uk/, slowly adding distractions has definitely helped!

So we are back!!

This Summer is going by so quickly and that means it is going to be winter before we know it, and that means the agility winter series, and that means our first agility competition, and THAT means Riley has to be able to play tuggie!

When we started dog agility, 1 whole year ago now! We were using treats but as we have progressed we have been told to turn to tuggie.

We use tuggie for many reasons but mainly because you can’t take food into the ring.

My problem is that Riley will not play tug outside of the garden. In the garden she plays soooo good!
In the front garden, the field, the agility club… etc she will NOT play. She acts like I am not standing in the middle of the field looking like a crazy person shaking her tuggie whilst running around and squealing.

I have been given advice from several people to start in the garden and slowly building it up to the front garden and then to other places until she can tug anywhere!

But can we do it in time?

If you have any tips or experience from a dog that won’t play tug we would love to hear from you!

You will have probably noticed our blogs new look. We are still updating it so expect a few small changes to come 😉

We have updated our address so I hope that you can still find us! Also, at the moment I am experiencing a few problems with it being available on phones so please bear-with.

I hope you like our new design!
